Tucker turns 9 Months!

i've had a bit of a rough month this month

i had a cold
high fever
ear infection
then random hives

just one thing after another

i started to wake up a lot at night for a while so my mommy and daddy have been extra tired lately.
i think i am starting to feel more myself and i definitely had a better night last night!

no matter what's going on with me i am still the cutest thing EVER! well, that's what my mom says anyway.

i am really interested in food now. i LOVE peas!!! frozen or cooked, anyway you got 'em i want 'em.
i sign milk with both hands when i am hungry or i see something that looks tasty. the other day my mom had a popsicle and made sure she saw me grunt and sign "milk" over and over until she shared. i pretty much like anything you'll give me. i don't think i have turned anything done yet, well, maybe oatmeal but i think the texture is a bit weird.

i LOVE my brother and sister. they are so funny! they LOVE to make me laugh. i sit next to jason in the car and he keeps me entertained during car rides. both ava and jason look out for me too. they make sure i don't get myself into too much trouble.
i get to go play in their room sometimes. they have a kitchen set that is a lot of fun for me. i make a mess and they don't get upset with me. they pick up after me to help our mom out. they are really good and being my big siblings.

playing outside with ava and jason.
i love to do whatever the big kids are doing.

my dad is always putting these things on my face!

i smack my lips when i am eating somthing yummy

i LOVE family movie night. sometimes i am fast enough to get into whatever treat my brother and sister have.

i really like to share my binki

Jason's Super Mario Cape

I decided I wanted a sewing machine. I want to sew. I saw a deal on Amazon and told Matt that's what I want. I don't remember for what holiday, maybe it was for my birthday or just because but either way he bought it for me.

Great, the sewing machine was coming. I should buy fabric or something. So Jason and I ran into Joann's on one of our Sunday grocery shopping days. I asked Jason what I should make and he said a cape! He found so many fun character fabrics (he wanted them ALL) but I got him to settle on two kinds of Mario fabric. Uh, Mario is his ABSOLUTE favorite thing right now.

Okay.... so the sewing machine is coming and we have fabric but...

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SEW!
Me and my sister took a homeschool sewing class like a million years ago but I dropped out because the stupid machine kept jamming up EVERY TIME I tried to use it. That's all the experience I had.

Ava asked for a baby blanket for the new baby doll that she had just bought. I thought that'd be a great place to start. My grandma gave me a few quick tips, a couple youtube videos on how to thread your machine later and she had a brand new baby blanket!

Next were baby doll cloth diapers.
Success!

Then a couple of baby doll pillows.

Finally I felt confident enough to start on Jason's Mario Cape.

I found a mushroom and star template for my symbols. Then I decided I'd surprise Jason and add Super Jason in Super Mario Font on the bottom of the cape. This is the only place I ran into a little trouble. I decided I did not want to sew around the letters (like I had done with the symbols) to secure them, so I used heat n bond, the non sew one.... but for some reason some of my letters started peeling off soon after I had ironed them into place. *sad face* Not sure what I did wrong or if maybe I just misunderstood the purpose of the heat n bond. So I will be using some fabric glue to keep from losing my letters completely.

Had to take a pic of my little hipster before she ran outside to play

Needless to say, he LOVES it!
