Getting close! 33 weeks

33 weeks pregnant today!

Seems like time is just flying by and right now I am okay with that. Excited to meet our new little one as are his very anxious big brother and big sister. For a while they were asking me "is the baby coming tomorrow?" or "How many sleeps till the baby is here?" when we did our hospital tour this week "are we going to have the baby?". So I decided to make a countdown chain to help them countdown the days till baby's due date. It's tricky though since baby's rarely come on their due dates to explain that the chain is just an estimation.

The kids got to go with us on our hospital tour! I think that will help a lot when it's time to have baby, that they are a bit familiar with the hospital. We even had to go back that day so I could be monitored for a few hours. I was having what felt like regular contractions for more than four hours and kind freaked myself out, first time that's happened to me. I think because this is my third I am a bit afraid of him just falling out! I have experienced a lot more pressure even months ago that has kept me a bit on the cautious side. Anyway everything is fine. 50% effaced and still closed so that's good. The kids got to watch tv, get snacks from the hospital cafe and even take a nap while we waited to see what was going on. They did great! The room is a good size and they even have a full size pull out sleeper sofa, a table with four chairs, a fridge and a good sized tv. They keep most of the hospital equipment closed up so it feels more like a hotel room than a hospital room. The bathroom was quite big and it has a jacuzzi that I can labor in if I want to!!

So now on the to do list is get the baby's closet ready in the spare room and buy/make a co-sleeper so he can sleep in our room with me. We have a new infant car seat and stroller so it's just little things like diapers, cloth or disposable, binki's, things like that. I saved most of Jason's clothes so we should be all set there!

Crazy to think that in the next month or two our little guy will be here!
