Black Friday Coupon run!

Had a fun family day just hanging out. Decided to go ahead and make a run to Walgreens and Rite Aid and I am glad I did.

Walgreens Run

I paid a total of $14.99 which makes each item about $0.59 cents (over $50 dollars worth retail)! 

Not bad for all these goodies! Plus I had a very nice, patient cashier today. I was able to take my time and do multiple transactions so I could roll over my reward money to spend the least amount out of pocket possible.

(I doubt Skyler will see this so all the Red Bull is for him!)

I paid $21.97 including tax 

BUT

I got back $25.50!! So everything I got today is basically FREE!

It's always a good day when I get to make a coupon run and get my coffee! We had a hilarious incident in the car with Ava while waiting in line for our coffees. I feel weird typing it out BUT she tooted (cause girls don't fart) for a long time and thought she was pretty funny, then her face changed to a look of "oh no!" and she said "uh, oh, I'm peeing". We could just hear what sounded like a waterfall of urine going into her carseat and on to the floor of the car! I think it was one of those you had to be there moments but Matt and I just couldn't stop cracking up. She apparently had no idea she needed to go potty! Poor thing! I think it will be one of the stories Matt and I remember for a long time.

Hope you all had a great day and ate lots of yummy food.

We had a pretty relaxing calm day. It was just the four of us and a friend from Matt's school. Started cooking at 9 this morning & started eating dinner at four. Amazing how you can spend so much time prepping and cooking and be completely finished eating in 45 minutes! None the less, it was worth! I have to say Matt and I made a pretty good team, a couple hiccups with dinner but nothing major (our hard boiled eggs for the deviled eggs weren't quite cooked all the way and we had some trouble making homemade gravy). Good practice for next year I guess!

We definitely have so much to be grateful for. Today I am grateful for our small family gathering, it was nice to not have anything to stress about. The kids were so excited for dinner and just couldn't wait to get started. I am thankful for my extremely helpful, hard working husband and my two little Turkeys! Thankful that Matt is able to pursue his dream of going to university and that we also get to be closer to home and our loved ones. Grateful for the military and the experiences we gained during Matt's time in service. So grateful for all the people God has placed in my life. I wouldn't be the person I am today without their support, guidance, friendship, companionship & love.

We as a a family are truly blessed. I am blessed.

Veterans Day Family Time

Matt had today off of school and it was amazingly nice out so we took advantage of it. Matt and I played tennis while the kids snacked and then we all played at the tennis courts until we just couldn't play any longer. We walked around campus and played at the park then we headed to Applebees for their FREE Veterans meal. We are all pooped! I feel asleep in the car on the way home!
