Our Little 4th of July 2014

Our first 4th of July here in Pullman and it was pretty great.
(Last year we were home with family)

We had fun BBQing with friends and then headed over to the park for the City's big 4th of July event.
The kids did awesome and stayed up late to watch all the fireworks at the park. They got to sit in a fire engine & a police car, they even got to play with the fire hose! We grabbed some cotton candy and watched Ava make a big sticky mess all over her face. It was super fun waiting for the fireworks while listening to live music and hanging out with Matt's friends from robotic's club. While we there Matt asked the chief of Police permission to fly his quadrocopter to video tape the firework display! Matt will be editing the video tonight, check back later to see the video (I'll add it to this post). After the firework display the City put on we went over to a friend's house and lit off some little fireworks with Ava (Jason had passed out by then).

I think we all had a blast. Such a great weekend spending time with our little family.

Today (July 5th) we made Jason's canvas flag like the one we made with Ava exactly 2 years ago today.
He did such a great job and was soooo cooperative!

My little model

Little sleeping beauty

Ta-da! Finished product!

My dream is that one day I'll have 4 of these beauties to hang on my wall. One for each one of my babies from when they were two.

*wink*
